The origin of PCC, Rawalpindi can be traced back to 1988 when Islamic Commerce Educational Society (ICES) founded an institution in the City to meet the growing demand of professional education. Marked by numerous academic innovations and the highest educational accomplishments, this distinguished educational venue has quickly earned an impressive reputation for its comprehensive and integrated approach to purpose-propelled education. It places particular emphasis on the acquisition of knowledge and skills appropriate to the changing business environment through its diverse range of courses that train young commercial experts for rewarding and challenging careers. Most notably, PCC is a place where students develop a sense of personal identity and begin to recognize and solve problems which arise in their specialized fields.

The College Campus is conveniently situated in a pleasant area of Satellite Town, and is housed in a spacious building which accommodates air-conditioned classrooms fitted with public address systems and amplifiers, separate sections for female students, and the Campus’s own Bookshop. PCC is registered with the Government of the Punjab, recognized by the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Rawalpindi, and is affiliated with Punjab University.

The high standing of PCC, Rawalpindi in terms of sport activities can be gauged by the fact that it has achieved amazing successes in various competitions, held by the Board and the University.

This year, our students Yasir Shahab, Mohammad Farman and Noman Ahmad Abbasi stood 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively in the Intermediate Examinations. Also in keeping with the reputation of Punjab Colleges as splendid educational institutions, Saima Masood of PCC Rawalpindi was awarded a Gold Medal by the University of the Punjab at its 115th Convocation.

The most distinctive characteristic of the College is its distinguished faculty who are highly qualified and experienced in a wide range of professional skills. They enable our students to get the most not only from the course, but also themselves. Visiting speakers, local celebrities and guest lecturers from all walks of life complement our specialized staff.

PCC always encourages its students to participate in extra-curricular activities. Our students have won prizes at Inter-Collegiate Na’at and Qir’at Competitions. In addition to the sporting evens, Quiz Programs are arranged on a regular basis. The College also frequently arranges different recreational programs such as recreational and educational trips to Murree, Kalam and other scenic and historical areas. Colorful Cultural Shows, Funfairs and Mushairas are also arranged on a regular basis.
