The ever-rising demands of parents for a separate girls campus bore fruit when the Management decided to establish Punjab College for Women. This year, the academic excellence of PCW was par excellence, too, as always. In Pre- Engineering Group, Mona Jaffar notched top position in Gujranwala Board while Javeria Irshad and Rabia Raza stood 2nd and 3rd respectively. In peneral Science Group
Ayesha Naseer grabbed 1st position, Maryam Shahid got 2nd and parvasha Raza got 3rd position in GBISE. In Commerce Group Maryam Iqbal bagged 1st position while Aneeqa Ashraf and Muqaddas Khalid secured 2nd and 3rd positions respectively. Miss
Riffat Aziz was awarded a brand new car for securing 1st position in Punjab University B.Com examinations. She had also topped the GBISE. It is also a matter of prestige that PCW Gujranwala has been lifting General Sports Trophy Since 2003.

Following the tradition of the rest of the colleges, PCW, also arranges a lot of recreational programmes like quiz competitions, trip to northan areas, cultural melas, sports and debate competitions.
